42 Years Down the lane

Back in those Black and White Days of serene `79,

When my mother was in innocent teen and father had just touched tough 20

There were no Smartphones, nor there was Internet or Selfie

Journey was simple, beautiful and pure

Soon, Father got involved in office and mother in household chore

My mother was a teacher and my father ,a thinker in his prime

I usually don’t write sentences unless they have meaning with rhyme

Yet, this one is special,4 decades of Togetherness,in limited verse, defined

My mother is Effervescent and Eloquent, father is fast on dribbling debates

She learnt to multi task while we grew up fast

He provided us the best education with honesty, honor and wisdom that forever last

She is sensitive, kind and compassionate while he is practical, disciplinarian and minimalist

80s welcomed my elder sister, and with it more memories, madness and change in responsibilities

My mother left teaching and did home classes while father toiled hard to bring us food and comfort

It takes patience, persistence and effort to raise a child

With 90s came the era of Computers. Still my mother was my best teacher

Father was an occasionally Preacher like that Speaking Tree stories in newspaper

What he lacked in words, he showed it in action

Selfless unnoticed tasks he religiously performs

While we children, never woke up without purpose or alarms

Journey of ups and downs, pain and pleasure, success and failure

All endeavored with a hopeful heroic Spirit

Yes, my father is apprehensive, afraid and critical at times and mother a tad too emotional

But together, they made us someone who is clear in conscience, values and science

Another decade beckons you with smile and good health

Staying, learning and growing together is an invaluable wealth

May this journey continue with Color,Courage and Sunshine

Everything is not left to chance, Destiny plays a magical part

In that sweet surreal year of `79,Stars Aligned and it continues to Shine

My Tryst with J.K(J. Krishnamurti)

I refuse to have this COPYRIGHT

It simply is not worth a fight

Neither a means to an End

Nor something dear to Defend

A friend, Philosopher and Guide

He rarely says to Abide

Question, Explore and Find

Don`t Let your Thoughts rewind

No one understands this mythical substance called Mind

I have seen the entire humankind

For we are wanderer, a fool and an ignorant self

It would be easier if we were an elf

Humans cant go beyond Self

Stuck in ideas, concepts and tradition

Perilous Past, Demeaning Dead, Inspiring Illusion

Float in time and beyond time

Only when we ‘See’ the conflict, it will resolve

Mighty Meek Self dissolve and merge with one

As JK says, you operate in division

Measurable and immeasurable

Beyond Space and Intellect,

Emerges Intelligence

This ain`t any preaching, Scripture or Rap

Only way to Enlightenment is,

To witness the Dark Dreary Trap with a Clear mind

Negation is the only way to Know the Truth

-Inspired by hours and hours of reading, listening and seeing as it as.J krishnamurti was one of the greatest philosopher of last century. This Poem is a short tribute to his infinite Grace.

  • Special Thanks to my Wife: Rudraa, for introducing me to this Great man.

Mother’s Day Special

A World filled with Fools, Flaws and Apprehension

Amidst Prevailing Chaos, hatred and tension

Obnoxious Outside World, Perceptible Pretension

Like a Lotus blooms, Centered beautifully at every languid lake

To keep us at bay ,her empathy we selfishly take

A flower ,A Blessing, an extraordinary Being

A mother is more than a feeling or emotion

Epitome of Care, Compassion and devotion

Yet, we unconsciously ignore her in every form and expression

Oh man, What an extraordinary Creation

Give her respect she deserves

A billion blessings in her reserves

Uplifts, Unwinds and Unravels

Selfless Love in a boundless fashion

Simple act of compassion

encompasses her delightful heart

Her touch makes us feel at home

Always pushing an extra mile

Before a Child is even seen

She is already given her most precious smile

The shine, her laughs and Twinkling Divine

A creator that balances a wobbling world

A flower, A Blessing, A Familiar Fragrance

OH, her Choice less Presence

This Day, another reason for celebration

Nurture, Nourish and Nod

Ever present like a Tree, a Sun, and a Moon

Glittering with an armor of warmth and Cocoon

For us and everyone else, A magical Boon

As we Search for Infinite or God or Mystical Trap

Never Realising,it was all along in Mother`s Lap

This ain`t a great Poem or Song or Rap

Still, you can effortlessly Clap

or At least bring a smile to that face that rides the Storm

with an innocent Grace.

Matters of Heart expressed in finite syllables.

What is your Color?

All life is black and white
Said a man,with grey locks
For he has missed the glorious yellow rise
And the beautiful orange set
Ah! And the blue belligerant moon

Walk in the woods, you embrace greens, reds and browns
Lift your furlorn face up,straighten up,ragged rusty frown
Color can be an adjective or a noun
Did you capture effervescence of this bubbling town

Your binocular binary lens
Make it colorful and intense
All you need is choiceless presence
And an eye to go beyond black and white

Note-
Add Colors not frown
Red or black or brown

Fall in love again

As I stumble, slip and slow down in pace

I refuse to drown,effortlessly embrace

I can sense this unhealthy risky race

For the day will come again

When my efforts won’t wither away in vain

For now,I find comfort in devouring Twain

Let the words sink again, find a new alley

Life is in wonderful waves, with peaks and valleys

Shall flow again in rhythm and rhyme

Taking a break ain’t a cruel crime

I sit in quiet, contemplate, sipping a glass of lime

As I rejuvenate,recover and reveal

I touch upon this newly found zeal

First mildly, then wildly, immersed in ocean of words

I gently watch those cute colorful birds

I humbly receive, revive and recite my tunes

I wake up,whisper and wish for

Million magnificent moons

I flow with fervour, with a zest for life

For the day has arrived,I dive into those magical words again
